I’ve received many questions about my skin and because you guys wanted to know how I take care of my skin at night. I wanted to make a blog post about it. So here you’ll have my skin care night routine !!
- Scrub (I prefer the Pure Active Intensive Gel Scrub anti-impurities with charcoal from Garnier)
- Cotton pads
- Make-up remover
- Soap or face wash (this is optional, you can also just use water)
- Night cream
If you wear a lot of make-up during the day and it’s time to take it off, you better start with (1)washing your face instead of removing the makeup first. (2)Pat your face carefully with a towel while you are keeping your face damp. (3)Take two cotton pads and remove remaining make-up from your face with make-up remover. The reason why I only use two cotton pads for my face is because I believe that too much make-up remover is bad for your skin. (4)Afterwards, wash your face again. When you’re done washing your face, you’re going to do step two and three all over again, but this time, you’re using one cotton pad. You will see that there’s almost no makeup left over on your face. If your cotton pad still has a lot of make-up left, then you didn’t wash your face properly. You’re going to wash your face again just like step one and two, only this time you’re going to (5)scrub your face. While you exfoliate your face, you do not want to rub the scrub into your skin. Instead of that, you have to apply the scrub gently in circular motions on your face and wash it off. Take a cotton pad without make-up remover and wipe it over your face to see if there are still any excess left. If you still have make-up left over, you’re going to have to wash your face again or use make-up remover and wash your face then. If not, you’re going to put on a night cream. If you don’t have a night cream, use a regular thin lotion or Nivea (If you’re going to use Nivea, make sure it’s thinner than the normal one that everyone knows, I guess it’s called Nivea soft).
If you didn’t use make-up at all during the day, you can skip the parts what includes make-up remover and you can go straight ahead to exfoliate your face. BUT DO NOT FORGET TO DO STEP ONE AND TWO BEFORE YOU EXFOLIATE!!!
For soft lips in the morning, you want to brush your lips with a toothbrush and then put on some vaseline. I assure you, you will have soft lips the next day!!
You can also do this in the shower but know that you only have to use the scrub I recommended. So when you’re under the shower apply the scrub in circular motions on the face, then wash it gently from your face. Why I keep on saying that you have to do everything carefully with your scrub is because sometimes the scrub can be too harsh on your face and it makes your face very sensitive and red.
YOU DO NOT WANT THAT TO HAPPEN! After taking a shower you will see that there will be some makeup left over on your face, remove that with makeup remover and dry your face with a towel. Then you would want to use a night cream or a lotion like I said. If you don’t want to use a night cream or lotion, your dumb. Your face will dry out because the scrub can not also take the death cells on your skin away, but sometimes also the good cells.
I hope I have informed enough about how I do my face after a long day wearing make-up (or nah). And now while I’ve caught your attention: YOU DON’T NEED MAKE-UP TO SURVIVE OR LOOK GOOD FOR SOMEONE OR WHATEVER! You are perfect just the way you are. It’s all about confident. If you feel confident in your body, then you don’t need the make-up. You might cover up the flaws in your face but you can never cover up the person who you are (if that makes sense to you).
I appreciate your time for reading and please let me know in what kind of ways you feel confident (..wearing make-up or not..walking with crocs all day..wearing sweatpants..wearing a hat..WHATEVER).
Also, I wanted to ask you pretty ladies to post naked face pictures aka no make-up photos. Let the world see how beautiful a woman can be without make-up! If you’re going to post it on Instagram please tag me in the picture (no private accounts) and maybe I will be using that in my new blog post.
